Jennifer’s Choice - (S-1) - 30 minutes - Peer acceptance and self-inflicted pressures from being "the principal’s daughter" motivate a young girl to turn to drugs. When Jennifer denies her addiction, her mother takes immediate action to get her to acknowledge the problem, accept responsibility for her actions, and make a commitment to initiate rehabilitation. (Suitable for all ages)

Smoking: The Choice is Yours - (S-3) - 11 minutes - This is an animated color video about a likeable young man named Edgar who thinks that learning to smoke will make people respect him. Effectively combining humor with serious facts, the film demonstrates how smoking endangers people’s health, and why a smoking habit does not command the respect of most people today. (Suitable for all ages)

To Kill the Future - (S-5) - 16 minutes -The true story of two teenage brothers who lost their lives after they took a drive with a friend who was under the influence of alcohol. Determined that their son’s senseless deaths not be forgotten, Marjorie & Bob Stelloh fight for tougher drunk driving laws and penalties and encourage closer parent/teen communication. Viewers are urged to remember that they have the right to say, "NO" to anyone too drunk to drive. Award: American Film Festival-(Suitable for all ages)

Safety Belts: For Dummies or People? - (S-6) - 7:44 minutes- This concerns the importance of safety belt use. The intent is to present, in an understandable & very realistic way, the facts about safety belts to school audiences. (Suitable for all ages)

The Game of your Life- (S-6) -18 minutes - This concerns the national problem of drunk driving and is intended for students in late elementary and junior high school. It imparts candid information on this important subject before students reach driving age, at a time when children can understand the information and are receptive to it. It is the result of a joint effort by General Motors and the American Medical Association. (Suitable for late elementary and junior high/middle school)

The Flintstone Kids- A "Just Say No" Special - (S-7) - 23 minutes - Peer pressure is the # 1 reason most kids start using drugs. Many kids end up using drugs or doing other things they know they shouldn’t, not because they want to, but because they don’t know how to stand up to peer pressure. This video represents an opportunity to discuss peer pressure with grade school students. It will help prepare them for their pre and early adolescent years, when peer pressure is most intense and young people are most vulnerable to the influence of peers. It deals primarily with marijuana. (Suitable for elementary)

Magic Bill- (S-8) - 7 minutes - Magic Bill, a sweet talking drug dealer, meets his match in "Hill Street Blues" Bruce Weitz, who counters Bill’s street type with the facts about the effects of the drugs he pushes. A segment from the nationally acclaimed Chemical People telecasts, this video is a fast-paced catalyst for discussion. "The video achieves its purpose. All play their roles well, the information is accurate…the constant message is clear: regardless of all the hoopla, drugs and alcohol are hazardous to your health." Growing up in Smoke - (S-9) - 15 minutes - This startling program focuses on the tactics used in promoting cigarette smoking to children and illustrates various manipulative promotional techniques used by the tobacco industry which bombards young people with signs, samples, t-shirts, posters, print ads, & even movie theater commercials. "Bluntly prepared… will heighten viewer awareness of the subtle, alluring, & alarming ways the tobacco industry wins customers…" Booklist. Awards: National Council on Family Relations & Columbus International Film Festivals. (Suitable for all ages)

Say NO! To Drugs - (S-10) - 45 minutes. It is a practical, easy-to-follow approach for parents & families who want to keep their children off drugs. The producers of the Good Foundation Series have combined interviews and dramatic vignettes to create this instructional tool to help families fight the problem of substance abuse in America. This video offers solid advice and techniques one can use to teach children the truth about alcohol & other drugs. (Suitable for parents & teachers)

Kevin’s Story - (S-11) - 19 minutes - The most important peer-to-peer video on teen-age drinking and driving. Kevin Tunell, age 18, was convicted on manslaughter and drunk driving for the death of an 18 year old girl. As an alternative form of punishment, he was sentenced to speak about his accident for one year to high school students, parents, & teachers. This is a video about his speech. It is personal and horrifying. It is a message for teens everywhere. (Suitable for junior high/middle school- senior high)

Designer Drugs - (S-12) - 28 minutes - This program, moderated by Phil Donahue, consists of two principal elements: factual information provided by a panel of experts and provocative questions and statements designed to spark animated discussion. The synthetic drugs manufactured by unqualified and unsupervised "chemists" are a growing menace- and not only to those who use their products, for these home labs are liable to explode or contaminate the regional water supply or air. Specialists appearing on the program include Dr. J. William Langston, neurologist at the Santa Clara Medical Center, an agent of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency and "Dr. Shock", an unreconstructed designer druggist who appears unmoved by the program’s footage of permanently brain-damaged buyers of a "bad batch" of drugs. The message of the program- Ignorance is even more abundant on the street than drugs. (Suitable for high school)

Eddie Was Here-(S-13)- 34 minutes- True life drama of a teenager’s battle with alcohol & other drugs. Eddie was here and now he’s not. Eddie didn’t have the benefit of a video like this… You have to wonder… why would a youngster with love, good looks, & talent throw it away? Video is the perfect trigger to help young people examine relationships, identify peer pressure, recognize danger signs, and see the consequences of substance abuse. (Suitable for high school)

Sooper Puppy: Drink, Drank, Drunk - (S-14) - 16 minutes- This features puppet character, Baxter Puppy, who while searching for his favorite bone, falls, under the influence of a couple of neighborhood "characters" who pressure him into attending a party where "spiked" punch is served. The next day Baxter feels awful! He turns to his wise old Grandpaw for enlightenment on the dangers of alcohol use. It illustrates the dangerous effects of alcohol on the body and mind and clarifies the importance of saying, "NO", to alcohol and of staying away from those who would encourage its use. (Suitable for Kindergarten-4th grades)

Sooper Puppy: Flying High - (S-15) - 17 minutes - Baxter wants to fly, but when he goes looking for his flying cape, he finds temptation instead. The bumbling and mischievous Grizzle and Stoops try to convince him that he can really fly "high" on drugs. Through the story of "Mortimer, The Flying Turtle," Grandpaw teaches Baxter and young viewers to distinguish the difference between real fun which contributes to growth and strength, and fake fun which is an illusion manufactured by drugs, and also to appreciate that success in life requires work and imagination, not medications. (Suitable for K-4th grades)

Sooper Puppy: Puff of Smoke - (S-16) - 17 minutes-This enlightening program gives children the information they will need to say, "NO" to smoking. Having mistaken Big John’s cigarette smoke for a fire, Baxter ruins the cigarettes with water. When Baxter attempts to replace the pack for his friend, Grandpaw questions his actions. As Grandpaw relates the story of a young puppy with a weakness for cookies, Baxter is taught an important lesson in the dangers of nicotine addiction. Young viewers learn to understand the physical and mental effects of cigarette smoking in a way they can easily understand and cope with the pressures of advertisers and peers who attempt to make smoking appear attractive. They are also shown how positive peer pressure can be used to help friends quit smoking. (Suitable for K-4th grades)

Smokeless Tobacco: The Sean Marsee Story - (S-18) - 17 minutes - This video is based on the true-life story of Sean Marsee, a 19 yr. Old from Ada, Oklahoma, who subsequently died from oral cancer related to his use of snuff. Sean’s story is meant to awaken young people as well as adults to the myths and potential health dangers of using smokeless tobacco. Upon completion of the story, interviews with and oral cancer specialist, a professional athlete and three addicted snuff users elucidate some of the hard facts about smokeless tobacco. ( Suitable for all ages )

On The Edge - (S-19) - 15 minutes - This video is seen from the point of view of the co-dependent with an alcoholic parent. A teenager, Bill (the co-dependent) is confused and worried about his mother (Jane) who is, maybe, an alcoholic. He goes through a stage of denial of his mother’s problem before seeking counseling for himself and eventually for his mother. (Suitable for young adults)

Cocaine Diary-(S-20) - 23 minutes - A sensitive dramatization of a troubled teenager’s increasing reliance on cocaine to escape the pressures of school and family. Christopher’s cocaine habit soon depletes his savings, alters his personality, and threatens his relationship with his girlfriend. But a surprising turn of events motivates him to quit and try to get his life back together. (Suitable for middle/junior-senior high)

Straight Talk About Drug Abuse - (S-21) - 16 minutes - Drug abuse is perhaps the most wide-spread disease there is because it has no respect for a person’s ethnic origin, income or education. Compounding this is the fact that young people in junior high school and the 20-30 year age group are demographically the fastest rising drug users in the U.S. (Suitable for middle/junior-senior high)

Crack: The Big Lie - (S-22) - 30 minutes - Help students make one of the most important decisions of their lives- the decision to say, "NO" to crack. Based on actual drug treatment transcripts, this video discloses the alarming availability and severe addictiveness of crack. The National Institute on Drug Abuse and the American Council for Drug Education served as consultants for this important film. (Suitable for middle/junior-senior high)

It Can’t Happen To Me - (S-23) - 25 minutes - Teen-age drinking is a major problem among today’s youth. The emergence of this video represents an important step in attempting to reverse this trend. The video portrays this problem as it affects two high school students. It follows them through a time of crisis and reveals the steps they take to turn their lives around. Starring Vincent Van Patten and Lisa Gerritsen. (Suitable for middle/junior-senior high)

Drugs of Abuse-Signs and Symptoms - (S-24) - 17 minutes - The signs and symptoms of alcohol, barbiturates, non-barbiturate sedatives, tranquilizers, antihistamines, amphetamines, cocaine, caffeine, morphine, codeine, heroine, opium, PCP, LSD, peyote, and marijuana are all discussed in great detail. (Suitable for middle/junior-senior high)
